One of my latest runs I found that Elminster isn’t really there. He’s a projection or automaton or something. When you fight him and kill him he collapses into a puddle of water.

Gale has a nuke in his chest entirely through his own actions.

Elminster & Mystra gave him a button instead of a lit fuse. They also left control of said button in his hands.

Considering the scale of what he was fucking around with this was incredibly generous.
