The song itself is good, but the music video has me scratching my head, it’s just a bunch of stuff thrown in together haphazardly (maybe I’m overthinking it or not thinking enough). The two “battling bands” or whatever was an interesting visual effect but the song didn’t reinforce the visual (like “Walk This Way” or something with competing lyrics), so it’s just two oppositely dressed bands singing/playing the same song to each other. Nothing really in the lyrics tied to the visuals. And then there was just a dancing guy splashed in at random.

I don’t normally care about music videos for experimenting or being weird or whatever (I actually like that), but this one just seemed so distractingly nonsensical that it actually took away from my enjoyment of the song. I can’t remember ever having that happen before.
