Yeah, proper Germans were the cooperations he needed to work with him
Yeah, proper Germans were the cooperations he needed to work with him
Mostly wanted to clarify in general, not criticise you in person
There was no socialism in the party… Wether historically, nor now
That reads kinda meh
Robo Taxis are mostly bullshit, because we can’t even handle scenes for robots in a controlled environment.
What will this robo taxis do, if snow or dirt disrupts their view?
What will they do, if they can’t scan a speed limit sign at a road construction site?
That stuff doesn’t work for most current automobiles that show you the speed limit, which they think is right, how should an automatic system adapt?
Even if you preprogram them for the cities, you want to use them in, there are still ever changing things like constructions.
And the AI stuff reads like the last years.
Somehow we seem to not have anything really new and exciting
rsync?
Yeah, can recommend that one too Although it sometimes seems to have some performance problems with a large amount of files - could be, that it’s already fixed though
As I said, the architectural changes are quite cool
As far as I’ve understood it mostly comes down to splitting it up into multiple expert systems, so you don’t need to activate the complete system with every request
But I’ve only scratched the surface…
Also, open source… The weights are made publicly available.
None of the training data or systems
Edit: regarding “open source”:
Also Meta’s Llama is on huggingface, just like deepseek. I still wouldn’t talk about transparency here
Distilling OpenAI and Llama models probably also helped quite a bit
Although I must admit, that the architectural changes are pretty cool
but I have to add, that I’ve just started reading into the topic a few weeks ago and don’t really have any real practical experience, besides checking out some huggingface docs I got linked yesterday and stupid me hasn’t thought about looking there…
So everything I say is probably bullshit o:-)
I’m sporting a Framework 16 since a few months and had some battery problems at first. Due to work load, I couldn’t really get into the problem and something I changed or updated resolved it.
But I sent a mail to framework support at that time and the answer was just awesome.
Not just some typical 1st level response to update or restart, but real technical questions and obvious interest in my problem.
They even sounded a bit sad, that I couldn’t really tell them anything, because the issue resolved without me being able to pinpoint it.
On that note, I also have to say, that Tuxedo support was really good.
My Pulse 15 battery was starting to get a belly, and they sent me a new one without much questions - and no pay.
Now, after like 4-5 years, I have my old Pulse to my nephew and saw that the CMOS battery is dead. Again they just sent me a new one.
Some companies really deserve to get recommended.
How did you try it?
Requesting an account told me, that it’s only open for LE & Co, and in the demo only their pictures where available - as far as I’ve seen
I completely get all that, but looking at the typical user base that uses mainstream social media platforms, like TikTok, I don’t see them being knowledgeable about some china centered alternative app
I just don’t see, how so many would switch to that, as most of them wouldn’t have known about it a week ago.
Was it promoted on TikTok?
Personally I still don’t believe that a completely unknown app was suddenly getting new members in the means of some grassroots protest.
Maybe it is more (or gotten) more known through TikTok and that’s why it was basically unknown for me.
Still, I think this is artificially hyped as a reaction to a potential TikTok ban and not some organic growth - even taking into account people switching in protest
I think, I’ve heard about this app like once in the last years. And, not wanting to sound self centered, but as a software dev and quite interested in anything internet, I find this development rather strange.
Was “little red book” promoted on TikTok or how did so many people, who are usually just consumers of feeds, suddenly heard of that new app?
Especially, when I have a really hard time to have them install a new app, like Signal, in other cases.
Ok, this wasn’t really a good answer to your comment, sorry. You’re right, that the TikTok feed just builds individual bubbles, so right wingers will get more right wing info and the other way round.
But the sudden switch to a practically unknown app just… seems fishy
Isn’t it already a right wing propaganda machine?
Yeah, on my laptop - because I travel with it and confidential data (like from my customers) could land in hands its not supposed to
No, in case of my desktop, because it’s easier to access it in case of failure
Can I also say, that Trumpist are fundamentalist Christian snowflakes, who don’t even know what their own fucking holy book is saying?
I guess, the field is leveled?
Giving 72h to reply on a Friday is a nice touch ;-)
If the signal of the message can be traced, Israel would probably bomb it
Didn’t say it would make any difference
Upvote for Tuxedo!
After like 2 or 3 years with my Pulse 15 the battery started to pillow. They sent my a replacement for free.
Now I’m having a Framework 16 and didn’t use my Pulse 15, so I gave it to my nephew. But I saw that the CMOS battery was dead. Wrote them a mail and they are now sending my a replacement battery for free.
All in all, great company
Yeah, I usually have my external/portable monitor with me on business trips for work, and the Steam Deck for after-work relaxation. Using my external monitor with it, and don’t have to use my work laptop seems like a major plus in my book
Tried their demo on mobile.
Is the highlighter for everyone just working, when you start in a non-text area?
If I try to mark just one word in the text, it does nothing. If I start in a non-text area, I can move over the text afterwards.
But highlighting single words or text parts is pretty much the use case for a highlighter.
Maybe it’s just my Firefox on android…
