Colors. And a nice, readable font. Make your terminal pretty so you feel good every time you interact with it. Think about window dimensions (I personally always find the standard 80x24 too small), maybe set up some manual tiling so you can have two terminal windows fill your screen. Use the keyboard to move around your desktops.

I’m actually a big fan of Nico; some of her later output is near indigestible but there are a few uncut gems that make up for all the rest.
I also feel I identify with her refusal to be pretty, to become yet another starlet in the shadow of some band. I’m not sure where I’m getting this idea from, I guess I must’ve read an interview long ago.

I have yet to see people using chatbots for anything actually & everyday useful. You can search anything with a “normal” search engine, phrase your searches as questions (or “prompts”), and get better answers that aren’t smarmy.
Also think of the orders of magnitude more energy ai sucks, compared to web search.

what you describe isn’t changed anywhere but in the desktop file and in the environment (i.e. somewhere in RAM) of the application while it runs.
Are you saying you reverted the edit and the app still runs in Xorg instead of wayland? In that case there might be a setting inside the app that does that (the full set is not always accessible via gui)?

4G of RAM isn’t too bad. SSD is good. But I cannot parse the processor line. Is that a single core at 1.4GHz? That would be rough.
FWIW I’m writing this on a 13yo thinkpad that has 2 cores @ 2 threads each, at 2.6GHz max, and it’s fine for anything except gaming.
Glad you asked. I left that open on purpose because my server probably got hacked and I have only just reinstalled. So far I’ve been using DaviCAL - for many years - but I’ll revise this choice. It’s a little dated and quirky, and so ist PostgreSQL which it depends on.
