I’ve been on 70mg of Vyvanse (Elvanse) for a few years. It’s just enough to get me through a 10 hour work day. Everyone’s bodies react differently.

You’ll get used to the medication, so a given dose will feel like it’s doing less over time. If I don’t take my meds for a few days, my pulse will be elevated when I start taking them again. After a few days of that, it’s about 10 BPM higher than my non-medicated heart rate. I’ve found the first day of a new stimulate medication to be not at all representative of what long term use is like. After being on a few stimulant medications for a while, it eventually feels like I’m my normal self, just more focused.

Do not split the pills over food without talking to a pharmacist first. With stuff like Adderall XR, splitting the capsule can make the meds instant release. I’m not sure if Vyvanse is the same way or not. Either way, don’t rely on an idiot on the Internet (me). Ask a professional.

Personally, I’ve found Adderall XR to work decently well for 6 to 8 hours. That’s not enough for me, but it might be for you. A smaller dose of Elvanse is also a good idea. Personally, I’d go with changing dosage before changing meds. If the smaller dose is still not going well, try a different med. I tend to give myself a couple of weeks on the med before I think about changing it unless I have an extreme reaction. I only did one day of Ritalin because it made me extremely aggressive, for example.

Reddit does shitty stuff, but at least I’m able to find stuff on there. Why Discord took off as a medium to replace forums is beyond me. It’s not easily searchable, and search engines can’t index it. If people aren’t fastidious about replying to messages they’re responding to, it’s just a nonsense stream of consciousness from dozens of people.

That being said, I hate the formatting of most forums. Reddit and Lemmy’s comment nesting is excellent. It’s very easy to follow conversations.

According to Boeing’s earnings reports, the commercial aircraft segment of the company made up 56% of total revenue in 2018, 42% in 2019, 27% in 2020, 30% in 2021, 38% in 2022, and 43% in 2023. The rest of their revenue is split between the Defense, Space and Security segment, and the Global Services segment.

Prior to 2017, the vast majority of the earnings for the whole company came from the Commercial Airplanes segment. Since then, that segment has been operating at a loss. Since 2022, both Defense and Commercial Airplanes have been operating at a loss.

Why would they love this? More claims means they have to pay out more. Even if they’re assholes and don’t pay out, they still have to process and fight claims which costs money.

A while ago I found this blog post about why there are different tow ratings in the US vs. Europe.

It basically boils down to American tow ratings being designed to allow for higher speeds (beyond 60 mph) than European ratings. And it’s more of a question of vehicle stability than power.

Logseq has tags. Logseq does store data in markdown files. There’s one file for each page.

I haven’t tried Obsidian, but I use Logseq all the time. What do you think is holding Logseq back? I’m just curious.

I know for me the mobile app lacks some polish and it lacks plugins, which is annoying.

The lidar removal really pissed me off. At best, a Tesla can “see” as well as the human driver. It seems to me that half of the point of using a computer to drive a vehicle should be that it can easily access sensors that us meat bags don’t have access to.

Plus the stupid central instrument cluster in Model 3s and Model Ys is beyond idiotic.

Yeah. I did want to reiterate that usability of the phone was the primary driver of the change, not necessarily battery life.

I got no indication of a dying battery other than needing to charge frequently until Apple implemented a battery health feature. That was after they fixed the shutdown issues.
