Reddit was awesome. It’s sad what became of it.
Started in Lemmy but kbin’s reputation system woo’d me over!
Tried to write it in a short form 😂
I’d argue that having a negative reputation could affect (some) people’s behavior here as well.
something completely insignificant like internet points
Nothing has any value until someone gives value to something.
I give value to my reputation points - it’s a force that drives me further into coming up with and posting content 😁 And sometimes I enjoy comparing my points to someone else!
I started fediverse with Lemmy but moved to kbin pretty much because of the reputation system being here.
Don’t get me wrong though - I don’t care that much about downvoting and I don’t let it affect negatively on my behavior. At the end of the day, regarding other people in the Internet has more value to me than Internet points 😌
Can you find Online activities to do with them?
I’d argue that when doing stuff together there’s a chance to go deeper into a relationship at the same time. Even online.
But it’s not an automatic cure though.
.
Also keeping trying is another way to grow your chances. It might hurt even more so taking breaks is important before retrying.
Let’s see…
I’m at 37 subreddits and -
Whoa…
131 magazines…!
Of course many magazines are more or less dead here but…hope is not yet dying!
it’ll be interesting to see what people can find if Reddit has the balls to really sever itself from Google/Bing.
Well, one can always search for data within a service’s website itself, but yeah, Google is more convenient and also faster for that 🤔
Reddit is still valuable to me because lots of game-related troubleshooting data is (still) there.
Well, other potential topics as well.
Yeah, I can rather make a new topic here instead and wait for an answer for months that may or may not come or make a discussion in Steam about it, but also Steam doesn’t somehow feel as convenient surrounding for me…
I’m hopeful to see that side up and running here at kbin at some point as well though!
Settled in, mostly.
Of course I need to access information I can’t find elsewhere at Reddit once in a while but if I create content in there, it’s about kbin only.
Looking at interesting discussions to be a part of, trying to make kbin a more fleshed-out service with ideas rushing through my head, enjoying the reputation points dripping in 😃 And trying to come up with different themes under a topic to a magazine while dreaming to get even a few more peeps over there!
I’m dreading for this…
I wouldn’t want to be a moderator, but these two magazines I created weren’t there so…
Yeah I think so
Yeah I wouldn’t argue against all the things YouTube has made possible to, benefitted and offered others. I have used YouTube actively too.
There’s always good and bad to everything.
What about an ad inside the video, made and added by the YouTube channel/video maker themself?
Starts to seem to me that you’d get frustration more than anything else out of whatever you try to do to help or please or go along with rules of a digital/social platform company…
I dig how we nowadays can (start) come (coming) up with solutions that can aid even people with worse diseases and symptoms!
I wonder would one reason be that if “the most” of the community is there, it’s just better to be there with the folks and the content rather than take a leap to a much smaller place and feel small or lonely or something like that…
(I haven’t used kbin/lemmy for more than an hour - seeing whether this is a new place to stay)
Something you are told about from the past (and whatever else) can sound epic or horrible. Something you’ve heard can lift your mood or give you a feeling of sorrow.
Experiencing the told story and the feelings you’d experience within however is nothing compared to the feels you get from a story.
