The fediverse came just in time. I wouldn’t have even heard about lemmy/kbin or mastodon if reddit hadn’t shut down 3rd party apps.
They seem like they’re trying to bleed a stone.
The wrong post bug was happening to me last night too. I didn’t check if it was on lemmy.world or not, but I just assumed it was because of a lot of new traffic.
The idea of paying a monthly subscription to use reddit is so off-putting. Maybe if it were a company that I didn’t feel so negatively about, I’d consider it.
I agree. There’s a lot of fear-mongering about AI, but there’s no unopening that box.
We might as well see where it goes.
This is a really good idea. I prefer having it in its own space vs just among my other tabs and browsing.
