Sorry if my post was confusing, my grandpa is still kicking (just tore down a pool, half a deck and working on a gazebo using the wood from the deck now) but he was just updating his will. My grandma died during 2020 and he has slowly been giving me more and more access/responsibly to his pension, property and bank accounts. This weekend was when he finally signed it all to me.

Losing my grandma during lockdown was tough. I lived with her and my grandpa more than anyone else in my life and I feel like they made me the person I am today more than anyone else. It just sucks knowing these plans after losing one of them. My mom current lives with my grandpa, but they are at each other’s throats constantly. I know my grandparents could of done more for her, but I am in the same boat with both my parents but decided to move on and try to heal. Family events on that side are now just passive aggressive matches with me and my wife trying to divert to a different topic.

That lady in the store story really sums stuff up. My grandpa never never open about his and my grandmas relationship but I am starting to hear more positive, happy stories after she’s gone. I heard all about their fun times in the 60s and 70s but hearing the small moment makes me understand their relationship more and why they stayed together for 53 years.

They need to stop. I’m seeing them in a month and still playing catch up over the last 2 years of releases

We probably put 250 hours in on PC and I think I’m close to 200 on switch. I think my wife just broke 600 on her switch saves so we have some attachments to those farms, but looking into exporting them if we get a deck. Tbh she misses mods at this point after 100% both routes and working on some self imposed restriction farms.

I’ve looked into it and I believe my switch is still one of the easy to jailbreak models. My wife has a lite (and the save files) but I never really looked into how to jailbreak those. The stardew save editors look pretty simple from some research and I will probably attempt to extract our farms if we get decks.

Edit: Modded switches can’t go on Nintendo Online correct? If not, buddy of mine has ones so maybe use that and restore from cloud saves and extract, unless that leads to account flagging/deletion.

Gungeon is one I need to get back to. I really never clicked for me after hours of gameplay, but it has everything I’m looking for in a game. Kinda the same with Nuclear Throne, but I put a lot more time into that one.

Streets of Rogue was the other top down roguelike shooter I fell in love with. So many weird ways to progress in that game.

My wife and I are actually considering buying steam decks for both of us because the console port for the new update is taking forever… Why didn’t they have the steam deck in 2020 so we could have stayed on our PC saved instead of putting hundreds of hours into Switch saves

My mother in law entered some contest where the votes had to be verified through Facebook. It was the first time I logged in since 2016 or so. The majority of my feed was AI pics of kids missing limbs, or chicks with impossibly large tits/body proportions with the description “Please wish me a happy birthday no one else did” with 40 hashtags of celeb names or movies/shows that came out around then. Mixed in was fake news bullshit or videos that had 4 different watermarks on it. Maybe if I used it more I would see somewhat relevant things, but its worse than I thought if that’s a normal feed.

Does it still work pretty well? I tried it for awhile but ran into some issues I can’t remember early on. If I could get close to RIF for Lemmy, my battery would drain a lot quicker

So this is good to reduce packaging waste and probably fitting more packages on trucks/planes, reducing emissions I am guessing. But how much power does running it cost and how is the power being generated? Is it a net loss for their global emission, or is it just making Amazon save money? I’m still pretty dumb at this stuff
