I do a lot of photography and I share it on my deviant art page.

It’s SFW, don’t worry.

  • Before I was diagnosed?

    Poorly, very poorly lol

It literally felt like I was try to fill a bucket with sand and the only shovel I had was a sieve.

I’d literally have to wake up 5-6 hours before I had to be anywhere just to make sure I could finish my breakfast and coffee before leaving. And then I’d still more often than not finish eating or drinking my coffee in the car on the way.

I feel you on the “Having to stop a med because of the side effects,” before I was diagnosed with ADHD I was diagnosed with anxiety and I tried about a dozen different meds for it ovwr the years before calling that off and just going unmedicated. Funnily enough after my ADHD diagnosis and getting on the meds I am now (Straterra) I’ve only had 1 panic attack in the last year vs one a week or so. And I’m able to start and finish tasks. It’s fucking witchcraft.

  • For me Straterra lasts about 10-12 hours which is just about perfect. Unfortunately though for me the longer I take it the shorter that time slot becomes until I up the dosage again.

I’ve been taking it for about 18 months and it’s down to just about 8 hours for me now and for those 8 it’s still okay on effectiveness though I feel it could be a bit higher.

Basically when I up my dosage it works great for awhile then kinda starts winding down a bit.

That’s the dream really, for me currently I sometimes find myself getting an hour or 2 of OT at the end of my shift. Which blows.

Don’t get me wrong I’m going to try to bend my schedule some more again soon so that maybe I could start aiming to get up by 5 am again as that was pretty damn nice when that was an option.

Getting up for work about 4ish hours before the shift starts is bliss

Edit: By getting OT at the end of my shift I mean I usually find out I’m getting literally as I’m trying to leave. It blows.
