I have been happily using OsmAnd while traveling outside my coverage area. Anybody have pros or cons of each of these? I just downloaded this one and didn’t really like that it automatically began downloading 250 megabytes of my localish region. In some places that would eat up my entire data package. I would rather it asked.

Depends how old you consider old, maybe? Computers back in the day were pretty universally light text on a dark background. VIC-20 was an exception but then even Commodore backpedaled on that with the 64. But you might have had a different experience and are only remembering things like Mac OS or Amiga, or Windows, and maybe that has influenced your preference. 🤷♀️ To each their own, anyway.
I had the FlashAir which is more or less the same thing. Loved it. Used it for quickly retrieving underwater photography without unsealing the camera as well as backing up dashcams, security cameras, and other such quality of life, never have to touch it kind of applications. I would totally buy more if they come back in fashion. Micro SD is probably impossible, but a girl can dream, can’t he?
This is beside the point, but it might help some people in the short term: I was able to switch my subscription plan without penalty and then cancel immediately without the cancellation fee. Maybe that still works.

Final Cut Pro. I know it’s asking a lot and I know a lot of talented people have tried and are trying to build NLEs and all my gratitude to them. But—no offense intended—none are there yet and actually accomplishing this would be #1 on my magical (no effort provided by me) wishlist.
Blender has spoiled us with unrealistic expectations.
The Trekz Titanium (maybe that is the correct spelling) won me over and I want all my headphones to be like that, forever. Sadly, not all boners (as we call them in the biz) are made the same, and my newer Open Run Pro (or whatever) are disappointing boners by comparison.
Those are kind of rare, though; can they really be outselling CDs by so much? Or maybe the author mislabeled the key and ‘other’ is supposed to be the sliver on top?

This sounded like a disaster when it was first revealed they were basically relaying messages through some Macs they had lying around the office.
How did YouTube become the monopoly it is? Seems they were always riding Vimeo’s coattails and have been rewarded handsomely for it.
