Is Goodreads bad? I use it a lot, but would it be better/more ethical to change like with reddit?

Praeclara opinio!
Hell yeah! Welcome aboard!
Honestly, I agree. I am not tech savvy, I am actually a pretty basic user of the internet. I just followed the link provided in a post, registered on Kbin, and started enjoying it.
Now, Lemmy did give me more trouble, and it’s the reason I am on Kbin, but even then it was more a matter of having to wait for confirmation. By the time it came I found I preferred Kbin “graphics” (don’t know how to explain it better).
Really can’t understand what people find so difficult. Even the fediverse isn’t a difficult concept: you sign up in one site, you can see posts from other sites too. Simple as that. There’s nothing complicated if you’re just an user and not someone who has to make it work
Unfortunately I have no idea how you could do it, but I upvoted, boosted and commented to make the tread more visible!
Yes, I am saving and yes, I have also seen the option on the kbin settings… I really think it’s a bug
Wow, the fediverse at work: I posted on kbin and you’re replying from lemmy! This is awesome!
I am not American… But I have to say, this sounds just so comically evil it seems something only a badly written cartoon villain would say, like “I will kick all puppies and banish chocolate”
Honestly, I was thinking about making a post about the exact same thing, but I am glad you beat me to it because you are obviously much more informed and articulated than I would have been!
I agree, Reddit will go on and make money, but it will be a much different place, more like Facebook or Instagram, in that it will be full of ads and less specific information. It will cease to be a niche space and become another, more generalized social for a more generalized public.
In short: we, aka the people who migrated, simply are not their intended target anymore
Wondering the same thing…
In my case, in the paste week I’ve done it again and again, but every time I close and reopen kbin, it’s back to all… So I just chalk it up to a bug of the site
That would be problematic, because the problem is not plastic itself, but its use. Plastic has allowed countless medical and scientific benefits, such as ureteral stents, stents for aneurysms, catheters… And these are just the examples that came to mind on the fly.
If you go on settings, there is the option for infinite scrolling url
My screenshot is in my language, not English, but you get the idea
OMG, there’s a third party app with dark mode!!! Goodreads app doesn’t have it, which I hate with a passion… I’m sold, just started the import process of my books from goodreads to bookwyrm!
