If it actually targets ad blockers and not FF in particular, that won’t do much other than telling all the websites you visit that yet another user is using chrome and not FF.
I still don’t see that they broke FF specifically, they’re fighting back against adblockers, including the ones in browsers like brave.

Not OP but my Samsung Galaxy M21 has it, too. It’s slightly hidden as you don’t find it on your home screen or app list, only when you search for it inside the app list.

Whelp - I feel like you’re overestimating how much money people donate.
I’ve got a website service that I offer for free with a Kofi tip jar - I got less than 20€ over the past 3 years that is was online. Which doesn’t even cover domain costs.
Sure it’s very much not in your face and it isn’t meant to be, plus being only one anecdotal point of reference, but that’s just my experience with that.
