I was pleasantly surprised that my Sony tv has a basic option so you can use it just as a screen. All smart stuff disabled.
They just blocked a few of the main ones. I was able to sign up from Sri Lanka last week for ~$4/mo family plan. Might meet more investigating to see where works.
I wish there was arr software for YouTube that included Sponsorblock. Every one I’ve tried hasn’t really worked. Need it to be automated or I’m stuck using YouTube.
Or you get a set top box and don’t worry about the trash software that comes with the tv.
I really like my newish sony tv that has a basic mode. Disables all the smart BS so it functions just as a screen. I use an Apple TV or ps5 for all content.
Yes. I am one of those who pays for premium. I primarily watch on my tv and probably watch more youtube than anything else. Also still on the old $10 plan but we will see how long that lasts.
I am a big fan of isponsorblocktv which sits on a network device like a nas and skips YouTube sponsor segments on Apple TV.
After a long quest for an iOS and macOS rss reader with notifications I landed on NetNewsWire as the best option with no gimmicks.
Well it was a great PR move even if it led to nothing. Fit the character I hoped he was. Sadly not surprised if this was also a complete fabrication.
I read that book years ago when Musk’s public persona was almost like he came from the future to get humanity back on track. Electric cars, solar, vertically landing spaceships, that time he opened up all of teslas patents to seemingly try and accelerate electric car adoption.
What a bummer how he turned out. That amount of money just poisons your brain. Or let him feel safe lifting the mask. Never have I done such a 180 on an individual. He was supposed to be the one good billionaire solving humanities problems.
Looks like you still need to open the post for it to be marked as read. Not just on scroll.
But Memmy is looking a lot better than the last time I opened it up.
I have Memmy installed as well but keep gravitating back to wefwef.
Whichever one gets hide on scroll first will win for me.
As a fellow Apollo refuge, check out wefwef/voyager. Really helps with the transition. Lemmy webapp heavily based on Apollo’s design.
A80J. The “cheaper” oled model. Watch for sales next week during prime day.
My newish Sony has a basic mode where it just functions as a tv. No smart bs. Picked that at setup and never looked back.
Same here. The electric car tech is changing so fast too. Eying the VWs but happy with my volt.
I jump between a lot of profiles for work and chrome makes that too easy. It’s the only thing holding me back from switching to Firefox.
