So, strictly speaking: yes, almost any computer that was ever capable of running Linux should still be capable of running the newest kernel version, with the sole exception of 386s.
So the 286 and 8086 are still compatible, then? :P
What about chips from other ancient architectures? Can I run the latest version of Linux on a 6502?
I never did but my girlfriend did. We both use Ublock Origin in Firefox in the same house. I absolutely cannot seem to bypass the message even after updating her filters and purging the caches, but on my PC it’s like Google never implemented the policy. I don’t understand it.
The little bug-eyed, recessed-chin pedophile is so out of touch.
I don’t know why, but this song always reminds me of Space Jam. It’s not even in the film.
Yeah this website sucks.
I remember when chips first hit 1GHz around 1999. Tech magazines were claiming that we’d hit 7GHz in 5 years.
What they failed to predict is that you start running into major heat issues if you try to go past ~3GHz. Which is why CPU manufacturers started focusing on other ways to improve performance, such as multiple cores and better memory management.
The main* reason why people go to Target is because they’re willing to spend a bit more to not have to shop at Walmart. Not everyone can afford that luxury.
And I own neither of these. PC all the way. Last time I had a disc drive was 2008.
If you’re willing to pirate, Stremio + Torrentio can do exactly this. Stream and download anything you want. Keep it forever. Works on smart TVs. This is the way.
I’ll never understand why people like you care about a mega corporation’s bottom line. The executives are still making billions, while keeping their employees as poor as they can get away with.
Target will survive without San Francisco. Even if they fail, the top dogs will just liquidate and take a fat paycheck home, enough for a 1000+ employees to retire and live off of for the rest of their lives, and they’ll just pocket it all. Fuck 'em.
It really is stupid cause literally every business accepts NFC payments now. Even gas pumps. But not Walmart.

AMD heating issues are easily solved with a PBO. You can also set a temperature limit (with minimal loss of performance) if it helps you sleep at night.
You should be optimizing your CPU settings in the BIOS when you build a new PC, anyway, just like you do with RAM and fan curves. If you just pop the chip in and go, you’re going to get heat, yes.
I did not. I have ADHD.
That video was only 30 seconds long and it was still a waste of my time.
Doesn’t bother me. I’ve been using scroll wheels on desktops and the two finger swipe on laptop track pads for so long that it has to have been at least 20 years since I’ve last used a scroll bar. They could disappear entirely and I wouldn’t even notice.
I appreciate it, but I’m still going to stick with Ungoogled Chromium for YouTube. mainly because Firefox still doesn’t support HDR and RTX Super Resolution.
Why? I love Shorts! Takes me back to the days of early YouTube, when not everything had to be a 30+ minute video and you could still discover small unknown channels just from browsing. Shorts is the best thing to happen to YouTube since they added HD support back in 2010.
Please explain yourself.
