Might sound stupid, but perhaps then they shouldn’t be offering services like Disney Plus and instead simply offer a car that lets you download any streaming app you have your own subscription for.

Products that change the service they offer after you purchase it should also be eligible for a full refund (plus a % on top for the hassle). Such as offering a service through the product for free at the time of purchase but then moving it being a monthly subscription paywall later on, or just removing the feature completely.
Plus I prefer to have things in writing so I don’t forget a small detail, or if someone fucks up and I can point out exactly what I told them needed to be done.
Every update with these new UI changes seems to increase empty wasted space each time
Is he trying to eat those microphones?
Unless it were like $0.20 a month which is equivalent to buying a $25 every ten years, there’s no point.
But they will probably try and charge something stupid like $5 a month or $10 a month for their supreme collectors edition package.
I already put my phone down on my desk and turn the audio down whenever an ad pops up, they can’t tell it isn’t being viewed.
I would settle for something that simply turns the screen black and turns audio off whenever ads play. I don’t care if YouTube gets paid for it, I just want to decrease the value of ads and prevent myself from seeing them.
I much prefer random ads anyways. Targeted ads are 90% something You’ve already recently bought.
With random ads sometimes you see something interesting that you didn’t even know you wanted because you didn’t know it even existed.
If I’m looking for a laptop I don’t care to see 1000 ads for laptops, I’m not going to just click an ad and buy one I need to research and deep dive into the kind I want.
Personally I’ve never had an issue with Asus products but have had numerous quality issues with Acer. Bought a number of small Acer laptops and the hinges kept breaking because they only put one screw in the hold the hinge instead of two in many of them.
Again the excuse of ‘no politics’
YOU CAN’T AVOID POLITICS
Accepting contracts from Israel is just as political as denying contracts from Israel. You just stated your political stance by accepting. Why do people think it’s a free copout?
So instead of giving people notice so they can change their information they decide to sit on it until they cover their asses. Typical.
Personally I don’t even subscribe to any. I just browse all and then filter out any community that pops up which I don’t think I’ll ever be interested in.
I started to subscribe to a few but when browsing subscribed only I felt like I was potentially missing so much, because maybe I subscribed to the wrong “aww” instance but I also didn’t want to go through and find the 3-4 different versions to subscribe to.
This way I see everything, except the stuff that I definitely don’t want to see (like most of the porn instances, non-english instances, etc.)
Can we please go back to different names for different products…?
Why have surface pro and surface laptop when you can just have surface pro for the tablets and something else for the laptop?
Makes it so much more difficult when trying to troubleshoot shit.
Oh, wait this is the same company that named completely separate software “Outlook” and “Outlook (new)”…
It’s very short sighted, but capitalism doesn’t reward long term thinking.
It will start with going from 5 writers to 3, or going from 10 animators to 6.
Then 10 years from now as it gets more advanced we will be down to maybe 1 writer and 2 animators.
Do they not give out laptops with an Ethernet port? Or is the extra 2lbs too much?
I got a message from them today and I haven’t used reddit since last June or so. They must be desperate.
No, just reimbursing for the actually time is not enough.
You enter into a contract for a service and that service was broken. There’s the lack of reliability that’s the issue.
If they were out for a month customers would suffer more than $30 in consequences from stuff like lost productivity.
If it were a pay-by-minute service than sure, but you purchase a month in the expectation it will work that entire month. They should get at least 25% of the monthly cost reimbursed if not the entire month.
Black and white TV was fine 60 years ago and it’s fine now
