  • Wanna know a secret?

All big companies are degrading in the same way.

Teams cut down to 25% staffing with critical support roles sunsetted instead of backfilled. Revenue demands increasing quarter over quarter. Budgets declining. Profits higher than ever before, beating earnings by over 50% quarter over quarter 2 quarters in a row.

Mistakes costing more and more money, sucking up more labor to fix that is already spread thin. I’m the project lead on half a dozen projects ranging from $100k to $1.6m in capital expense each, simultaneously, by myself.

My role is not designed for project work. It’s supposed to be routine maintenance and operations. Which I’m also doing.

The entire corporate world is about to eat shit and reap what they’ve sown. And stocks will be higher than ever before.

The Western world is in free collapse, yall. Hope you realize and prepare accordingly before those funny TikToks of homeless people you watch have you in them.

Welcome to the endgame of capitalism.

  • There’s also a massive scandal with USB c now that more devices and phones are using higher wattages and the vast majority of cables on the market are e-waste that doesn’t meet the actual USB-C specification.

While that’s not the fault of the spec designers, one could argue that the massive failure to regulate has resulted in fire risks in every home.

Bro is misinformed on basic reality 😭

  • This saga has moved fast so I don’t blame you, just an FYI Intel has issued a statement saying the microcode update “will” fix all affected CPUs (it won’t, because the damage is physical) and will not be issuing a recall.

We are witnessing one of the more obvious end-game states of capitalism. Intel continues to state they don’t give a single shit about this issue, and will not do anything about it.

The corporate nihilism will continue until the collapse. More and more companies will act like this because why does anything matter when we can profit more today?

  • It literally states the program is due to a deformation of the switch, a physical issue.

I’m sure there are ways to safely engineer around it. I don’t trust any American manufacturer to do so. What guarantee do we have that it won’t continue deforming further after the fix? What happens to the patched sensor software if it does occur?

Do you unironically trust Musk enough to not open your vehicles hood at 80mph?

Really not sure why so many people on this post are having trouble understanding that concept. Maybe they want to justify their $80k paperweight lmao.

  • As someone who slaves away at a company measuring revenue in billions and authorized to procure $1MM per year (seriously, not a humblebrag. Companies shit money)….

lol. Every company right now is driving straight off a cliff with their foot on the pedal. Who cares about next year when we can squeeze more profit now?

Welcome to late stage capitalism. Or if you prefer, late stage industrialization. The rulers aren’t as dumb as we like to think. They know nothing will remain of society in 50 years due to climate change and resource scarcity.

Might as well squeeze it for everything left and f… off to their little apocalypse mansions in geologically stable areas.
