I beat a Waymo self driving car off the stop sign yesterday instead of respecting its right of way and the passenger in my car with me remarked. I told them it’s because I know and don’t fear AI. It’s going to be protective of itself over taking the intersection, so why not take advantage of that fact. I said something like when Terminator happens and everyone is running around panicking, I’ll be that dude walking around pushing them over because I’m wearing a mask that confuses facial recognition.

This comment ignores that not all vaccines are prophylactic. Often times a vaccine can be administered after infection to cure or suppress symptoms of the disease. Rabies vaccine is exactly this. This comment is unhinged levels of not understanding the importance of this scientific achievement.

I’m actually surprised no one has pointed out the design flaw in the logo. It looks like a close window x button on browsers, especially iOS Safari. I keep wanting to close out of the window by clicking on it instead of the smaller other x.

He’s a narcissist, just like Trump. Feeds off the nonstop attention, and does not care what damage is dealt to people he exhausts. It’ll only get worse the more you feed the troll.

This is true for corporations in general. They’re organized to maximize profits, unless regulated. Even if you’re pro-business, you’ll know that statement as true. Without realizing it, we’re currently in an Oppenheimer-like arms race with various state sponsored interests including tech corporations.

I like this device despite not having a use for it. It’s an interesting combination of tools and can see potential with penetration testing and the like. I’m curious what other people’s take is, especially if they’ve been hands on with it.

To be clear, you’re referring to generative AI and artificial general intelligence. There are many forms of AI that downright deliver. The field is evolving at such a speed, I think nay-saying will look naïve in hindsight.

I second wefwef. Strikingly similar to Apollo and nearly as feature rich. I find it a bit less stable, and needing frequent updates. I haven’t watched as many videos and noticed some links fail to work (though that may have more to do with the fediverse).
