investors in OpenAI’s commercial entity were capped at making 100 times their money
They should never be allowed to call this a “non-profit” (and probably even get tax exemptions?)
What a dirty lie in the first place!

For tracking my own location, I have tried out Traccar once. It works without any foreign data stores.
It’s still working:
They breathe a slight breath, and everybody writes about it, and everybody reads about it…
What I am saying is the other way round: The revolution is no revolution anymore, EVs have become normal things. Therefore nobody needs any super special niche products, overpriced but lacking most of the qualities that normal cars have - a.k.a. Teslas, anymore.
You can passthru the GPU hardware to a qemu VM on proxmox. Proxmox itself will not get in your way, because proxmox is just an administative helper for qemu there. The setup for this passthru is a qemu thing.
I don’t know if the same kind of passthru is possible to a docker container.
There are four of them?
Do you know the saying, the revolution devours all its children.
The electric car revolution is over. Tesla is over.
Who’s going to get the data?
I’ve been expecting this for a good while.
Rule #1 Never believe his announcements. They may be true or not.
Rule #2 Always assume that most people believe in him and his announcements.
Rule #3 After applying the rules #1 and #2, sometimes you can see what he is trying to achieve with the announcement itself.
Most times it is about inflating his ego. Often it is about pushing (manipulating) the stock market.
So when he recently announced to "be allocating far more of my time to Tesla.” I immediately thought the hell you want to donate them your oh so precious time, again, suddenly (there would even be admitting a fault in it if he actually did), no you just want the stocks to stay up. And so I concluded that he doesn’t feel like taking responsibility at Tesla anymore.
Unions on a global scale. A very interesting development.

Bad pattern.
The moment when GitHub was bought by M$, the risk of such behavior started.

There’s a lot of genius in this idea …
Very good ideas, but I don’t agree at all with your estimations.
For example it is terribly difficult to self host email, and very few people actually do it. Contrary to your estimation. It’s not because of the server software, but because of the fight against spam etc. that costs so much.
You are focusing on only one “top” and so you can’t see the reality. You are scoring centralization. Not decentralization.
Better if you look at the share of hosters at the “lower end”, the ones that actually do self hosting, like:
% of servers with up to 10 users (counting only natural persons).
% of users on servers with up to 10 users (counting only natural persons).
They are prepared for such ideas, and you should assume that they are better than you.
Why was Altman missing in the story? The next ruler of the world…
