hmmm I thought I did, I saw a little bit on Twitter talking about the video essays discussing the allegations. And then the tweet from the alleged victim saying that it was nothing, and then a tweet from someone who I thought was the creator of one of the video essays saying that the above alleged victim was not actually one of the victims they talked about.

But now I can’t find any of that exchange, or even the original video essays, and all the news outlets are referencing just that tweet from the alleged victim and only seem to be referencing a single victim, but that might just be that the news outlets are trying to post things too early

i believe that one alleged victim said they were not a victim but they were not the only alleged victim

couldn’t you do that anyway if you can get people to install an extension? taking advantage of this for crypto mining purposes feels like extra steps

not deliberately misleading just not sure i understand what the big deal is between imported and native. i remember there being some formatting issues at launch and so they fixed those and made an epub specifically for Kindle to handle those issues. what accessibility features are missing with imported files?

EDIT: also why do you keep putting boycott in quotation marks? he explicitly stated the problems that he had with audibles platform, they backed down on them specifically because of his boycott, and he didn’t put the books on audible until after they made the change. that’s not a fake boycott that’s an effective one

FireArcadia Is there any use to being a copper Compounder, from a Feruchemical point of view? I think the same point would also apply to an aluminum Compounder.

Brandon Sanderson Some combinations, like some abilities themselves, aren’t really that useful. That said, being able to Compound copper…that could do some things. Aluminum, not so much.

I believe a Feruchemist would be able to use other sources of investiture, since that’s how compounding works, using allomancy as a fuel for feruchemy. And if you look up copper compounding, you will see that Brandon has been RAFOing that since 2015, but he has said it doesn’t do nothing (as opposed to some other types of compounding like aluminum). It’s possible that we might get a look into it during era 3, but I imagine that a copper feruchemist would have similar results feeding from a Perpendicularity as they would compounding. Whatever those results may be.

The slippery slope of “I know it’s not real but we’re so close and it’s based off of you so therefore you should love me too” does not feel like that much of a stretch
