If you met someone who you really enjoyed talking to, what would stop you from staying connected to that person after the 7 days were over? You would know their username, right?

Your name is well chosen. I think you just wasted a lot of time essentially making the same points I did.
I think it’s mostly an expensive toy. They made it VTOL so it does not have to go fast enough on the ground to become airborne. That’s ok, it doesn’t need a runway to take off, but VTOL is way to make things fly that really have no business flying. Airplanes have a certain shape because they have to. This thing looks like a bar of soap in comparison. I’m sure it uses a ton of energy to stay airborne, it would have the glide coefficient of a rock.
Wow. Absolutely great work. Thank you
Knew a lady with a trained chinchilla. Bet she could train your UI.
Information tech people say we have introduced new measures and methods to guarantee compliance with our policies. And pirates answer challenge accepted
I am waiting for someone to make a Pez dispenser with his head on it. But it only dispenses huge API charges and senseless threats.
Slowly or quickly, it’s gonna crash. At this point you are just rearranging furniture on the Titanic
And how much does reddit pay?
Will Elon lose control of Elon? Seems like a far more predictable outcome.
We need some RPGs. Not role playing games…
Seems like pretty soon will be bots interacting with bots. All hail spez. Can’t imagine what the draw would be. I like it here.
I’m old, but the whole scene reminds me of Max Headroom.
Yes, Lord Vader…
For me the big takeaway here is that as long as we choose to participate in a system that is ultimately driven by a profit motive we are going to be the means to that end. Kbin, lemmy, calckey, whatever other flavor of the fediverse you may be using, doesn’t have that feature. As the people who chose to be mods for free on Reddit demonstrated, people will dedicate alot to a thing that feels like a community or a movement. Not so much to a thing that feels like a commercial enterprise. So yeah, Spez is a self serving idjit. But maybe he did us a favor by motivating us to find something better.
That could be. The people at Apple probably can’t imagine anyone wanting to use a product not made by them.
So now we know who Huffman wants to be when he grows up. Muskrat. And that wraps up the show for today folks. Time to pull the plug on Reddit.
Seems to me that rich people, especially obnoxious rich people, don’t get to see very many people behaving as they naturally would. If you are not impressed by their money then you probably ignore and avoid. If you are then you are fake nice. I doubt that they get a very realistic take on what people in general really think.
But if you could that is absolutely the first thing that they would try, turn it off and then back on
