How is this a relevant question? Nobody said anything about some governing body. There have been discussions on many instances about whether to federate with them or not, and it’s accurate to say that some people think we should.
The issue is not her stint in politics, but rather her election denialism and attacks on journalists.
But feel free to explain your point if you have one.
What they’re actually doing is super shady, and reason enough to cause concern without exaggerating.
Agreed, but the article title implies that they are in fact currently revealing names, which is just not the case.
I swear some people are just contrary.
It seems as though nobody in this thread actually read the article. They are not revealing user names on the site. The objection here is having the real name as part of your private profile data, in case of a future data breach. It’s a real concern, but orders of magnitude less serious than what everybody is assuming.
Shame on Ars for the misleading clickbait headline.
hate to be that guy…
Are you sure?
If anybody tried to shoehorn AI into game development, it would be those same out of touch execs!
The downvotes are for your hot take on AI, not that people think the studios are fine. Of course I’d prefer comments explaining why that’s a silly thing to say instead of everyone jumping on the downvote bandwagon…
Rolling out? Maybe I’m missing something but you could pay to boost your posts on Facebook for many years now…
If we could explain it, it would just be another rules engine 😅
Nah I understand what classically liberal means, it’s the rest of your comment that was nonsense.
If you were right it would be really easy to prove, no?
No, that’s the origin of the term.
Meh, I think it’s a stretch to blame IBM for the Centos thing. Red Hat did that on their own and themselves deserve whatever criticism is warranted. It’s a wholly owned but independent subsidiary, so not like IBM is in the middle management chain at all.
I think it’s a cop out to blame any of this on IBM as these kinds of changes started before the acquisition.
I also don’t know who you mean when you say the people are gone as most of the executive leadership have been with the company for a decade or two.
I guess I was sad when they killed shadowman but that was before IBM too!
Nobody cares
