It’s not so much that it’s AI generated … it’s also AI influenced.
I know so many professional office workers who once wrote some of the most boring sometimes stupid emails because they didn’t know how to write or get their message across or constantly miscommunicated things because they worded things wrong … now all of a sudden they’ve become professional writers and all their emails look like auto generated messages.
I’m guessing that many writers also take the AI shortcut. They get a bunch of content generated from an AI than just rewrite it for themselves. Some content i see is lazily edited and some is heavily. But I get the feeling that just about everyone is using it because it’s an easy way to get a bunch of work done without having to think too much.
The first part is true … no one cares about the second part of your statement.
They thought it did … so they tried turning it off then on again … and it exploded.
That satellite was about to reveal company secrets
I guess I should have worded that differently … no one cares if you can maintain your own personal rights or privacy because corporations view your rights and privacy as just another commodity ready to be bought and sold.
Most likely it will all be bought and sold like everything in the world these days. No one cares about privacy or rights especially if it means millions of dollars of profit are on the line.
The biggest take away from all this is … never ever trust a corporation with your privacy.
Because eventually they will give up your privacy if it means they stand to lose millions or gain millions.
Be careful and always leary of new services and conveniences that will affect your privacy because eventually it will be bought and sold to the highest bidder no matter how you feel about it.
Has nothing to do with the upcoming US election
We won’t understand even if we get to the point of wearing supplemental oxygen to stay alive.
I have the opposite opinion … I have one system of mine that has Win10 because I need it for one piece of software … and I absolutely do not want to upgrade to 11 even though I get almost daily reminders that I can.
Once I stop using the software I have for Win10 … I’m deleting the OS and installing Linux
Beautiful work … I really don’t mind the long wait between releases … the previous Gimp 2.0 versions were so robust and practical that they have lasted for close to 20 years
In the early 2000s, I started off with cracked version of photoshop before I discovered GIMP and as soon as I did, I stuck with them since. They’ve saved me several thousand dollars in software costs over the past 20 years that I really don’t mind waiting for the latest major release.
They can take their time releasing 3.0 for all I care. I’m still using 2.10 and I probably will for the next long while until 3.0 becomes stable. They’ve done a mountainous amount of work already and I congratulate them on everything.
This makes me realize too that I should probably donate something to their community for all the money they’ve saved me over the years.
How do we not know that this isn’t an AI generated Sam Altman?
This is the main reason why I seldom install anyone’s “app”.
Most of these apps aren’t true apps anyway, they’re just customized browsers that lead you to a website and are free to collect as much data from you and your phone as they want.
I’ll go on your website first if I have to and 9 / 10 I get what I want. Besides, I’ll only ever visit the service once or twice so I don’t need to install a permanent app on my phone for that.

Isn’t this basically how Taylor Swift got her start … her millionaire father just buying thousands of her debut album at the beginning.
It’s also a sign of things to come
We will reinforce our false and superficial ideas of the past or even present with the help of AI
All the vague uneducated and ill informed ideas we all have about anything and everything will all be magnified and exaggerated a hundred fold.
People want to only believe what they want because they hate being wrong … and they never believe or want to believe that their side, their group, their community no matter what it is can ever be wrong.
I’m not immune to it myself and I constantly have to remind myself that I can easily fall into that same mentality.
Most of us are never taught to be self-critical or to properly question the world or the people around us.
This is thing I keep pointing out about AI
We’re like teenaged trailer trash parents who just gave birth to a genius at the trailer park where we’re all dysfunctional alcoholics and meth addicts …
… now we’re acting surprised that our genius baby talks like an idiot after listening to us for ten years.
Exactly … it’s also a double standard because reddit is basically a capitalist model of the same digital system but no one ever complains or criticizes it.
The socialist digital creators built something and shared it freely with everyone and also don’t exert control over anyone.
The capitalist digital creatures built something and locked it up, monetized it and are using the user’s efforts as the basis for the business only the owners make money on and have complete control over everything.
It’s amazing because it’s a fantastic metaphor for the two platforms.
