Eh, there are a few reasons someone may prefer the office, but the option for remote work should always be present.

Oh I know how the Fediverse works, I was just commenting on how sometimes I have to question which instance the post is hosted on. For example, I see you’re on lemmy.world.
Thank you for trying to help though!
I mean the fact it was a pathetic protest method and and admins still shot it down speaks leagues about how much they care about their users. I don’t say this word lightly: the admins are snowflakes.
i’ll be honest hearing lemmy while being on kbin threw me into a loop, made me wonder if i was in a lemmy community and not a kbin magazine lmao. i gotta get used to this.
But yeah, both Lemmy and Kbin need the same flexibility of Mastodon. The more easily one can move, the less likely megacorps will see value in gobbling up instances. Long-term goal might be cross-platform profile compatibility, but right now that’s a pipe dream.
Mastondon does allow you to export your profiles and set them up on a different instance; I reckon some folks will figure out a solution on how to easily jump ship.
Guilded is also owned by Roblox, which has its own troubled history. If r/legaladviceuk wanted to go the chatroom route, it’d probably be better to go to a FOSS alternative like Revolt, Matrix, or Signal.
Especially when so many pedojacket us which in turn causes trans folks to infight.
I think “end of it” refers to this particular situation, not of Reddit as a whole. Reddit may die from the API changes, but it will have nothing to do with this hack.
Suspensions are site-wide and are given by the admins of the site, not the moderators of a sub.
king. people with tapeworms are actually fairly cool, but kings have historically been rather cruel and unjust.
I like to think of it as tolerance as a social contract. If you aren’t tolerant, you break the terms of the contract and are not privileged to benefit from it.
