Not sure. You can run your own instance right now so they have enabled that but you can’t yet federate with the main instance. I believe you can store your own data in your own instance though but I’m not sure.

So you are of the opinion that the bluesky devs are currently lying about working to get it federated?

The plan for bluesky to for people to start their own instances and decentralize.

I upgraded to 11 and honestly it’s about the same. Very familiar and fast. I’ve had no problems with it in the 3 years I’ve been using it. If I had the preference I’d use 10 but only by a very slim margin as they are virtually identical in day to day usage. I do think it’s faster.

Winds would blow fallout all over Russia. China/India would break off economic ties. Also nukes wouldn’t end the war anyway.

The u.s. still wouldn’t control the algorithm even if bytedance sold because they are not required to sell to a u.s. company. As long as the new company isn’t controlled by the ccp(or probably also russ, n Korea, iran) the u.s. doesn’t care who owns it.

They are free to sell to non American companies just fine as long as the new company is not ultimately controlled by the Chinese government.
