A couple of reasons off the top of my head. They investigate their own crimes that they commit. The fines are paid by the public and not the officer themselves. They should be made to have insurance like Doctors. The Judicial system let’s them off all the time with probation and shit when they do get charged. Last but the most important the Damn Police Unions have to much power and influence. Politicans on both sides of the aisle love Police unions, but shit on all the other unions.

This is why I love the fediverse. No advertising at all, I don’t scroll to see ads. I scroll Lemmy to see user content and to interact with other users.

Matrix has always been a great alternative. Any service that is owned by a corporation will eventually be monetized. I never liked discord in the first place.

Most of these CEOs and C Suite executives are freaking sociopaths. This is the reason they don’t know human emotions. They see other humans as their slaves, plain and simple. Tech bros are the worst.

I am hopeful more people are starting to see that a vast majority of CEOs are conservative terrorists in human clothing. From Elon to Huffman all of them want to rule over the common person for their benefit.
