I’m sad that a lot of people couldn’t perceive the mastodon in the room.

All according to keikaku.
[TL note: keikaku means plan]
I thought the staggered contacts engage with similarly staggered pins on the other side of the card?? 🤔
Literally doubling down lmao
Is it finally time? The beginning of the end?
Aaron Schwartz didn’t die for this.
Spez is tracing Elon’s steps with X really closely.
Also fuck spez.
I mean W3C created ActivityPub, it’s only fitting they peruse what they had created
Don’t Louis Rossmann launched a repair wiki a while back?
Anyway, mediawiki wikis have a special page that lets you dump the wiki’s contents for migration purposes, but I forgot whether it’s locked to admins only.
Edit: here’s a publicly accessible export page: https://repair.wiki/w/Special:Export
I see Twitter as a ship too big to maneuver. Then one day it got bought and a new captain comes aboard. He deliberately breaks the hull here and there to make the ship lighter and more agile, and also fired half of the hands on deck. The ship’s taking on water faster now. He also painted over her name. Despite all this, the majority of souls on board would rather sink with the ship than jump overboard.
My guess is that this is going to go the same way as McDonalds v everything with the letters M(a)c, and Starbucks v Sattar Buksh
they have more than enough money to keep the server running for decades. not to say you don’t need to donate, but you don’t need to impulse donate every time the big header appears.
So I assume it’d be like posting in /u/yourname back in spezland? Now it feels weird to think leddit also had microblogging features of some sort.
Mastodon is its own thing. It’s a microblogging platform like Twitter. Lemmy is an aggregator and discussion platform like Reddit. Kbin is a mix of both.
But they all can talk with each other as they’re using a set of communication protocols that everyone understands, called ActivityPub. This protocol is the foundation that made the fediverse possible. It means content can be spread across many servers, and interactions can happen the same way.
Look up ReplayGain. It analyzes and then adds metadata about the peak gains of each file, to the file, without the need to re-encode anything. Foobar2k natively supports it. Hopefully Plex also has support for ReplayGain.
My bet is that Reddit deployed bots that mass-reports these.
Infamous? What’s the scoop? I’m ootl.
Edit: just read about it in the actual r/ootl… Which they also moderated at that time. Quite surreal with today’s context.
