But really, who cares. Landfills are a negligible amount of land usage and land used for them can be repurposed after closing the landfill. As long as you bury it enough to keep it out of the biosphere the environmental impact of not recycling is negligible. Recycling is preferable for lowering resource extraction sure but as long as its still more resource efficient than a gas car that’s irrelevant.
To me this is the same as oil industry propaganda over wind turbine blades not being recyclable, like oh no it’ll occupy a few cubic yards of a landfill in 15 years, better build a new coal/gas plant instead.

What exactly is the distinction between “weakest against Trump” and “had worse polling margins against Trump?” If you specifically want to dial in on the ‘likely to lose’ claim that isn’t what you were asking for in the comment I replied to.
Bernie consistently had better projected general election margins during the primary. https://web.archive.org/web/20160217041242/http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/2016_presidential_race.html
That’s what the majority of (sedans masquerading as) trucks are used for anyway.
To his credit SpaceX was at least a correct recognition that the dominant space launch companies were just a cartel milking federal funding for as much as possible. That sector is so stagnant that ULA still hasn’t blinked at the massive success of first stage reusability.
Until we can stop making new cars we need to be able to make more electric cars.
It’s just more the same small-picture ‘environmentalism’ that lead to Germany shutting down nuclear in favor of more coal and gas. Slowing down the switch from gas to electric cars to save <1% of 1 new growth forest is dumb as hell.
I would maybe focus on oil and gas infrastructure if I was an eco terrorist but that’s just me.
AI image creation tools are apparently both artistically empty, incapable of creating anything artistically interesting, and also a existential threat to visual artists. Hmm, wonder what this says about the artistic merits of the work of furry porn commission artist #7302.
Retail workers can be replaced with self checkout, translators can be replaced with machine translation, auto workers can be replaced with robotic arms, specialist machinists can be replaced with CNC mills. But illustrators must be where we draw the line.
Automatically no, but I’ve been waiting years for somebody to make a crowdsourced blacklist extension for search engines. A little ‘84% of voting users say this site contains low-quality algorithmically generated content’ next to search results or something.
Bad analogy. The only people who had their information exposed are people who reused passwords and people who decided to make their info semi-public. It’s more like deciding to tell all your cousins and 2nd cousins your credit card info and one of them leaked it.
I thought drawn child pornography was legal in more places but apparently its only about 8 counties. Bafflingly this isn’t one of the things the EU has a united front on. Funnily there are a lot more countries that ban all pornography than there are countries that allow some porn but not fictional child porn.
