I had the save thought and the same wish-wash conclusion.
What about the outlook thing? Don’t understand.
This. I don’t need braille to know which button, it becomes muscle memory. A touch screen UI changes dynamically, so having muscle memory like for a physical momentary switch is impossible. And the tactile feedback is important too.
You can report the seller, and I am to understand that they take you seriously.
I honestly don’t see the same conceit you do, and I expected it before reading. I just read the author as a jaded evangelist.
I thought it was. What a missed opportunity.
It often stops working when I try to scrub too much. Fast forwarding goes too far (randomly multiples) on Android (Google TV) and Firefox. Subtitles just do not sync, no matter what I try. I’m really lucky to get a movie with good subtitles. It can’t fetch metadata while a VPN is active. Jellyfin is garbage and I maintain that.
Nope. And all of jellyfins other debilitating bugs are present still too. Still hot garbage.
I can’t Ctrl+F on my phone, can you tell me?
But they continue to complain instead of learn to adapt. I have a friend who needs help every week and I told him I am charging for windows help from here on because this is stupid.
Yet, you deleted your account, which may have contained vital information. I left mine because I felt that it was wrong to use Reddit for search results unless I left my contributions. It makes sense for Reddit to die frozen, not purged, but a lot of people who asked really niche questions have purged unfortunately.
Aside from clicking on search results, I no longer use Reddit.
Patches today patch source code. The kind of binary patching you talk about only works with deterministic builds, which sadly there’s not enough of out there.
I don’t understand how this is possible, two parents that use Linux and he thinks Windows is the way to go? Kids in school are actually idiots.
That said, I can’t get any of my family to use Linux. My friend tried for a while but asked me to put Windows 10 LTSC on it instead, because he wanted to click “Install” on Steam without worrying about messing with Proton settings and checking ProtonDB, which is reasonable. Some just don’t want to do the extra work, I hope some day that operating systems on our favorite kernel make it easy for plebians to use.

Your downvoters will never understand. If the option were there, people would realize that is the way.
As opposed to CLI, which is specifically command line, yes. The terminal consumes you, relieving you of both the will and necessity that would drive you to use anything else. All of your goals can be accomplished with one weapon: a clicky keyboard.
Because you can look it up.
