Because Reddit sucks, and moderators know that better than the average user.
Plus, if they’re the ones that can make their communities on Lemmy or Kbin, they wouldn’t lose their power, just the majority of their subscribers.
That last reason is why most will say no. Still it’s worth an effort I think
I would much rather pay for closed source code that also has bad api and lazy backwards compatibility!

They say they use Apple Podcasts, so depending what platforms they mean exactly, Overcast might work. It’s definitely my pick of podcast app as well
I think the only call I’ve had with someone who was able to quickly assess my tech-savviness was with an Apple Support manager. He was pretty awesome. My issue ended up being a bug in their OS, now resolved.
