I did replace my 980 with a 6600 at the same time though, so that could have fixed the steam issue.
I couldn’t get steam to run, it could have been a problem with my nvidia card, it would occasionally hang at shut down or restart needing a forced shutdown, and it really didn’t like waking up from sleep.
I’ve tried Ubuntu and pop_OS but had problems with them. But I’ve just installed Mint Debian edition and it’s been going great so far
If you’re going to be using it as a Plex server, aren’t you going to need some sort of network connection anyways?

They’re asking for quite detailed help for a reasonably difficult project, the least they can do is supply all the info to the people trying to help.

That’s definitely a fair point that I hadn’t considered. I feel that posts not being searchable should be default for certain communities, but having easy search for things like tech support and product reviews like Reddit did would be a huge help with growing the platform.
Does ActivityPub have search protocols? Seems like something worth having built in

Sure, there are definitely people who are going to want to know how everything works. But the community won’t grow and evolve if there’s too steep of a learning curve for the average internet user to just to join in
