Honestly it might be worthwhile to just get a month of Microsoft 365 and use the web client. You can upload all of the files to OneDrive and open them in the web version of Word to do what you need. Nothing beats native compatibility in a project of this scope.
Just use Edge on sites that don’t support Firefox, if you must use them. Same as how we used IE for government sites back in the day.
Who tf still uses Reddit? It’s all bots and power tripping mods nowadays. Lemmy is a million times better imo.

Who tf needs a printer these days? I print maybe 5 pages a year and the library does it for a quarter.
I just double my HDDs and put them in RAID1. Not foolproof against data loss, but I wouldn’t be heartbroken if I lost my Plex library. For important docs I add a cloud backup.
I’ve been using the same anime/manga torrenting site since the mid 2000s and I can’t believe it’s still up. Gonna be a sad day when it finally closes down.
What’s PIA?
I used to do this, but Verizon gave me a Flip 5 for $500 less than Samsung was offering and I got a free tablet with it. I needed to switch off of Google Fi anyway because they didn’t have service at my job site.
I live in an apartment and just charge it once a week for 30 min while I do my grocery shopping. Ezpz. I’ve been doing this for 3 years and have never had a problem.
I can’t imagine a scenario where a person who needs to work on a computer will not benefit by typing quickly and accurately.
