Wow, that’s crazy (in a good way). For me, it was hard even to get really into the game. Started it 3 times from the beginning either becaused it confused me or because of relevant dxvk updates. But afterwards it really caught me until the end. Unfortunately we had to wait too long for the sequel NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… (lol) which is a predecessor from the PS3 area. I still have to get into Replicant now

I don’t think so, now it just doesn’t feel as frustrating as I remember it. Possibly they polished the really rough parts, like the first boss.

Good to hear that, it was definitely a bit more frustrating when it came out, more “soulslike” :)

100% ack, one of the few games which can compete with old-school Zeldas. I also remember dying too often at the first boss in my first playthrough, but I think they balanced it. Feels smoother now.

Good question about MP, I just tested it on the SD but no luck unfortunately: GoW services not available. At least EAC loads correctly on startup, so it shouldn’t be too hard to fix.

This runs incredibly well on the SD. EAC works, smooth 60 fps with minimal drops on recommended settings. Game freezes on exit, but that’s a non issue to me. Didn’t expect that from Microsoft lol

It’s a good one, especially in co-op mode.

Make sure to read the ProtonDB entries. I’d try another Proton version.

Federation on Deck is the next big thing.

DOOM Eternal is playable even with raytracing on the Deck.

Tons, we’re at a point where optimization for the SD is expected by competent devs (which excludes greedy linux haters like EA, Ubisoft etc.) CDPR even implemented a “Steam Deck” graphics preset in Cyberpunk 2077.
